Teaching Polish : poland

Hello, I’m trying to teach my 5yr son how to speak Polish. I speak it fluently but unfortunately I am the only Polish person in his life.

straakieem What book would u recommend that I could start with and purchase here USA? Maybe a good website that makes learning a fun game? Tell me your advice. Try him out with a few Peppa Pigs po polsku via youtube. Yeah cartoons etc are good OP, just try to get him immersed. If you were raising him in Poland, what would you give him?

He’d read Polish kids books, watch Polish tv, etc. Just try to recreate it. Also, this would be really good but of course may not be possible, but you could consider getting a Polish au pair. Another Polish starakiem carer would no doubt help alot and I expect the USA is a popular destination.

I tried shows in Polish.

If u live in the United States, especially in areas with a high Polish population like Chicagothere might be Polish schools that you can enroll him in. I believe Bolek i Lolek had a book series as well. Since ur son is young, it should be aojtek easy for him to learn.

My son loved https: Watch out, there’s fucktons of nasty crap right there amongst the good stuff. If you ever play any cartoon off YouTube, make sure it’s off a strzakiem that you’ve verified yourself – otherwise your kid might learn a few words they shouldn’t at their age, or start asking awkward questions.
