That makes my life much easier, although I will have to check on the manufacturer of the devices that I have to make sure that they have the higher voltage tolerance.
The bases of the bipolars would be connected to the outputs of the 74LS via resistors. Your email is included with the abuse report. So, for the meantime, it looks like my original plan stands, minus the base resistors thanks John! Medias this blog was made to help people to easily download or read PDF files.

Are you sure you wish to delete this message from the message archives of neonixie-l groups. The gates of the Datawheet drivers would be connected to collectors of the bipolars.
Thanks for your help on this guys! Quoth Christian Bjelle at The Group moderators are responsible for maintaining their community and can address these issues.
Since the outputs of the LS are active low when selected, and the FET gate is active high, the transistor as 74ls14 show it in your picture gives the inversion you need. All operating parameters, including “Typicals” must be validated for each customer application by customer’s technical experts. Subject of the new topic: Dafasheet would then have bipolar NPN transistors with the collectors connected to 12V via resistors.
SCILLC makes no warranty, representation or guarantee regarding the suitability of its products for any particular purpose, nor does SCILLC assume any liability arising out of the application or use of any product or circuit, and specifically disclaims any and all liability, including without limitation special, consequential or incidental damages. The new topic will begin with this message. I amy have misundertood you completely, but I think there is a much simpler solution.

If the 74LS will sink enough current, I think you should be able to meet your needs with a cascode stage, and this will only require one transistor and maybe one resistor per output. All outputs remain off for all invalid binary input conditions. SCILLC products are not designed, intended, or authorized for use as components in systems intended for surgical implant into the body, or other applications intended to support or sustain life, or for any other application in which the failure of the SCILLC product could create a situation where personal injury or death may occur.
This is certainly a technique to apply for other applications I have a LOT to learn in the analogue fieldbut I think that we would have the same issue that John pointed out — the control signals are inverted and still need to be flipped before they get to the output device. Search Only Within This Topic.
I assume that this means that I connect the outputs to my logic VCC via 74ps Should Buyer purchase or use SCILLC products for any such unintended or unauthorized application, Buyer shall indemnify and hold SCILLC and its officers, employees, subsidiaries, affiliates, and distributors harmless against all claims, costs, damages, and expenses, and reasonable attorney fees arising out of, directly or indirectly, any claim of personal injury or death associated with such unintended or unauthorized use, even if such claim alleges that SCILLC was negligent regarding the design or manufacture of the part.
Do I need to put an inverters between the 74LS and the bipolars?
You can skip the bipolar alltogether, and connect your pull-up directly to 12V. BCD inputs and provide appropriate outputs to drive digit incandescent displays. If you want to used the FET, substitute the source for the emitter, the gate for the base, and the drain for the collector.
